FLARE: The Flagler Review seeks to publish both up-and-coming and established writers. Accepting of both the traditional and experimental in the poetry, fiction, nonfiction, drama, and screenplay genres, we strive to showcase a variety of colorful, vibrant works from passionate writers.
FLARE is published by student editors in the Flagler College English Department in St. Augustine, Florida. The publication is printed in the spring, as well as through online editions.
Please limit your longer works (fiction, nonfiction, screenplays, and plays) to one submission; for poetry, limit your submission to five poems. For art, please include no more than five pieces. We do accept simultaneous submissions, but we do not accept previously published pieces.
FLARE conducts blind reviews, so please remove author names from pages of submitted documents.
FLARE receives a high volume of submissions. We try to respond to all submissions within 6 months.
